My apologies to the two riders who became confused about the course. I found out when taking down the signs that some mischievous soul had thought it good fun to interfere with them.

I think it was TS Eliot who described April as the cruellest month. It was certainly very cold, with a north wind blowing and the threat of rain. Not surprisingly, we had only ten starters, but these included two novices having a go. Paul Beattie posted best time pf the day, with Julian Freeman and Chris Fowler within a couple of seconds, though nobody announced a PB.
