It was a beautiful summer’s evening but it only brought out eight riders (all RFW). Perhaps there was football on the telly?
Tom Cockerill put in an outstanding time of 22:30, with Graeme Hall following in 22:38 and Julian Freeman coming third with 23:26. All very good times.
Everyone managed to beat the 30-minute barrier on a demanding course, so very well done all. I think I heard John Dainty calling for “tea” as he crossed the finish line.
Next week sees the last of the series on the Devil’s Staircase (probably a sigh of relief by all riders) and then we’re back on the Valley Circuit for the final Summer Series.
