It was a fairly cold start to the day with a stiff breeze but, by the time the first rider set off at 11:00 things had started to warm up somewhat. Our Boxing Day TT is usually a fairly light-hearted affair and one rider, Ryan Henry, decided to ride on a 3 speed shopper wearing a bunny outfit. This didn’t stop him from coming in fourth with a time of 29:42.
Our fastest rider was Graham Doe (unattached), riding his first ‘proper TT’ with a time of 26:51 – a very creditable achievement. Second was Jos Hertzman (Bath CC) on 26:58 and third was Henry Doe (unattached) on 28:03.
Twelve year-old Mal Carter did a 2 up with his Dad and both came in at 35:46 – well done both.
My usual thanks to all timekeepers, marshals and helpers.
All in all, a good end to the TT season. We’re now looking forward to next year’s series, which will start with our usual Dash on April 4th.
