We had a good turnout of 24 riders for our annual Boxing Day time trial of 10 miles round the Valley Course. Three pairs elected to ride as a 2-Up.
Although this TT is supposed to be a bit of fun, there were some very respectable times. Paul Beattie and Julian Freeman posted fastest time of the day with 24:38, followed by Pete Bradshaw and Chris Fowler in 25:30. Fastest solo rider was Simon Addy with 26:09.
Dave Pinckney and Michael Prescott decided to ride their MTBs, putting in 31:16 – they weren’t the slowest of the day, either.
The event finished with drinks, soup and cakes in the club house, thoughtfully provided by Eileen and Norman.
All in all, a good way to blow the cobwebs away on Boxing Day morning.
