After a rather rainy morning the evening turned out quite warm and pleasant. We had 14 riders and were back on the Valley Circuit. Unfortunately, there were traffic lights in Medbourne so we had to move the start and finish to either side of the road works.
In spite of the complications everyone came in under 30 minutes.
Paul Beattie (RFW) on 22:45, with a disc wheel fitted to his bike managed to beat Nathan Joyce (RFW) by 4 seconds. Nathan was on a plain road bike compared to Paul’s TT bike, so did extremely well.
Matthew Lonergan, the only junior rider of the evening was on his new TT bike and came in 4th with a time of 24:21.
My usual thanks to all marshals, timekeepers and helpers. I hope the traffic lights will be gone by next week and we shall be back to normal.
