Another very pleasant evening for our second post-lockdown TT brought out a reasonable field of RFW club riders.
Graeme Hall posted fastest time this week of 23:44, beating last week’s winner, Thomas Spain who tied with Nathan Joyce on 23:52. Nathan, however, was on a road bike: a pretty respectable performance!
 
Our thanks, as usual, go to all timekeepers, marshals and everyone who helped to make the event a success.

Quite a pleasant evening for the resumption of our ‘Post Covid’ (well, nearly) evening time trials. The virus didn’t keep the curse of road works away, so the course had to be split at Medbourne, resulting in a 9.6 mile course.
Thomas Spain put in fastest time of 23:21, closely followed by Graeme Hall with 23:27. Will Deeley was fastest road bike with 24:06.
12 year-old Hudson Hendry, on a borrowed TT bike put in a very creditable 25:44, beating quite a few more experienced riders.
 
Our usual thanks go to everyone who turned out to make the evening a success. Let’s hope the weather holds for the remaining events, which are held for paid-up members only.

We are very pleased to let you know that Club cycling competition is returning next week with our first TT of the year, with the first  rider off at 18:45 on Wednesday 22nd July from the clubhouse.  This will be the first of our Summer Time Trial series (now reduced to 5 events), all of them on the valley course.  I've attached a document with the 2020 schedule and most importantly the special rules you need to adhere to so that we minimise any risk of Covid 19 infection spread.

Below is a document that shows the planned schedule for 2020 and all the detailed rules to keep everyone safe as we move out of lockdown.

Key points are:

• This series is for current RFW members only, it is not open to non-members. 
• There are no changing facilities, come ready to ride.
• No spectators please, and no grouping before or after the event.
• Contactless payment is available, or cash (but bring the correct change - £5 adults, free to juv/juniors).
• Bring a pen and a rear light.
• Results are not going to be available at the event; they will be published on the website in the 24 hours after the event finishes.
