My apologies to the two riders who became confused about the course. I found out when taking down the signs that some mischievous soul had thought it good fun to interfere with them.
Let's hope for better weather next week.

I think it was TS Eliot who described April as the cruellest month. It was certainly very cold, with a north wind blowing and the threat of rain. Not surprisingly, we had only ten starters, but these included two novices having a go. Paul Beattie posted best time pf the day, with Julian Freeman and Chris Fowler within a couple of seconds, though nobody announced a PB. My apologies to the two riders who became confused about the course. I found out when taking down the signs that some mischievous soul had thought it good fun to interfere with them. Let's hope for better weather next week. ![]()

Quite a nice evening, with little wind. We had a good turnout of 28 riders, half of whom were Rocko members. VC Equipe put up the two best times of the day but Paul Beattie, Pete Wilson and Phil Earl came in very closely for Rocko. It was very good to see a number of women riders and some juniors, all turning some very creditable times. The usual thanks to all marshals and timekeepers. ![]()
A rather rainy evening but a good turnout of 25 riders, some being new ones. Road works at the last corner made things rather dangerous, so the course was shortened to 9.3 miles. Cristian Woolf put up the best time of the day, closely followed by Paul Beattie and Pete Wilson. Well done all and thanks to timekeepers and marshals. ![]()
