Off Road (Mountain Bike, Cyclocross and Gravel)
Off Road riding is a popular aspect of cycle sport and includes the disciplines of Mountain Bike Racing (MTB), Cyclocross (CX) and Gravel.
There is a history of mountain bike racing within the club and a number of club riders compete in the Friday Night Summer Series. The series has been organised for more than 20 years and is the longest continuous MTB race series in the UK. Rockingham Forest Wheelers organise one of their race events each season.

Rockingham Forest Wheelers take on the rest of the world
Over the weekend of 4-6th December 7 of our members made the trip to Ipswich to take on the rest of the world at the Cyclocross World Masters.
This is the second year that the World Masters has been held at Ipswich and the course remained mostly unchanged from the previous year, apart from the addition of a sand pit. We didn't have time to get our buckets and spades out as the course was fast and as we were represented in 6 different categories there was no rest. It was a cold weekend, which made the previously muddy course firm, so the pits were very quiet. Well done to all of our members who took part and who 'beat the course'. |

We were also represented in one of the support events by Daniel Hill (nearly 8) who took on the challenges of the course without any hesitation.
A great weekend was had by all and it's great to see the support given to everyone across all age categories.
