This place has a different vibe from most cafes, and with a working aerodrome there is usually plenty to see. The route takes an unusual path to get to Oxendon, just so that we can use a few rarely-ridden roads near the clubhouse :) The route is 67km long, with the café stop just about half way round. The route is also workable to visit Waterloo Farm near Oxendon, but you'd have to reverse it to get to the stop about 3/4 of the way around. ![]()

Here are two 55 Km loops that leave the clubhouse, go West around Market Harborough and then return to the start point for refreshments. One loop goes clockwise, and the other simply reverses the ride and goes anti-clockwise - make sure you download the right one! For a Sunday club run, go anti-clockwise and stop off at Waterloo Farm, just North of Great Oxendon.
The challenge to us is to follow this boundary (as best as the roads/tracks allow). This gives a ride of about 150 Km/90 miles, including a bit of gravel along the Brampton Valley.
Here's a link to a Strava route for you to follow. If you prefer you can break the route near Islip Furnaces and head back via Grafton Underwood.

Club RoutesHere are some routes that we regularly use for club runs. Use the Categories to limit the routes you see. The compass points relate to where the ride goes from the clubhouse. Routes can be downloaded for your cycle computer, either directly as a GPX or via Strava for TCX. Archives
