We will be riding this route on Rogation Sunday, when traditionally people circumnavigate the boundary of 'your parish'. This gives members a longer club run; a chance to achieve a century ride of 100 miles. This route follows closely the boundary of the old Rockingham Forest, so it is fair to say this is us 'staking our claim' for the area! The ride will be at a pace to allow people to finish, not too slow, and not too fast. The main group will aim for a c15mph average on the road, and will stick together. There will be longish breaks about 1/3 and 2/3 of the way around the route, at places we usually stop for refreshment, and probably a couple of shorter ones too. | ![]()

The challenge to us is to follow this boundary (as best as the roads/tracks allow). This gives a ride of about 150 Km/90 miles, including a bit of gravel along the Brampton Valley.
Here's a link to a Strava route for you to follow. If you prefer you can break the route near Islip Furnaces and head back via Grafton Underwood. |
Club RoutesHere are some routes that we regularly use for club runs. Use the Categories to limit the routes you see. The compass points relate to where the ride goes from the clubhouse. Routes can be downloaded for your cycle computer, either directly as a GPX or via Strava for TCX. Archives
