This 85 km loop flies past Thrapston at 35 km and again at 60 km, so you could easily cut off the Eastern loop and save 25 km. This would mean you won't go past the Kings Head in Wadenhoe, but leaves Thrapston itself or Geddington as potential watering holes.

Medbourne 'Flower'

Medbourne is only about 9 km from the clubhouse, so this route wiggles around to make up a decent distance of 52km. By heading towards Medbourne, only to veer off in a different direction a few times, it gives plenty of options to shorten the route if weather or pace require it.

The coffee stop in Medbourne is at Rural Relaxing, which is opposite the sports and social club. For those that eat meat, the bacon butty I had there was exceptional (and I believe the vegan sausage gets the Pete seal of approval)!
