 There were four of us at the start of this new club initiatve; two on mountain bikes and two on gravel bikes. We went up to Thorpe Langton to pick up the track to Stonton Wyville, where we went up onto Gartree Lane. We then took a bridleway to Ilston (lots of gates and very bumpy) and then up to an estate road through Rolleston Park and farm roads to Skeffington and then over the A47 and round to Tugby and Ventoux (24 miles). |  |
On the way back we took the farm road from Crackbottle Lane up to Goadby Lane and then on another rather bumpy bridleway across the fields to Cranoe, then back home on the usual roads. All very enjoyable in a masochistic way - I was exhausted! John Aldridge
